Melanotan 2 is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It is studied through melanocortin receptors including MC1R and MC4R, giving it a multi-receptor research profile across pigmentation, melanocortin signalling and receptor-selectivity models.
